Lighting that sets the scene with style
Xio floor lamp – Hollands Licht

Xio is one of the latest designs presented by Dutch lighting manufacturer Hollands Licht at imm cologne 2024. The floor lamp consists of a wafer-thin 30 x 30 cm panel and a slender upright with a cross-shaped base. The face of the panel is transparent and provides uniform lighting when switched on, bringing clear yet soft light into the room. The lamp’s innovative feature is its use of a very slim LED. A special pattern ensures that the frameless panel is evenly illuminated.
Xio is an elegant model with a timelessness that allows it to be seamlessly integrated into interiors. At 120 cm tall, the lamp also has the appearance of a delicate sculpture. The model looks quite at home in the space, providing illumination without taking centre stage. Xio’s metal parts are available in three colours: pebble, anthracite and rust. To lend additional warmth to the luminaire, optional covers made of 3D-printed fabric can be ordered in the same three colours.
Sun Home table lamp – Grau
The sculptural LED table lamp Sun Home is made of hand-blown glass and ash. Each lamp is unique. Copyright: Grau
The team from Grau spent ten years developing “Sunset Dimming”, a lighting feature that mimics a natural sunset and has a calming effect on the body and mind. It supports our natural biorhythm and the production of melatonin, promoting relaxation. Having no blue component means that the warm light brings health benefits. In contrast to cold, blue light, which can disrupt the sleep-wake cycle, “Sunset Dimming” regulates this rhythm and supports well-being.
This unique dimming process is also used in Sun Home, an extraordinary light sculpture made of ash. The wood is glued, shaped, sanded, and stained by hand, making each lamp a unique piece. Sun Home’s shape was inspired by the human torso.
Grau’s commitment to environmental protection also deserves a special mention: for every Sun Home sold, the company plants a tree.
Forget Me Not pendant lamp – Umage
Forget Me Not is available in three different sizes and three different wood finishes, enabling the lamp to be hung in a variety of different arrangements. Copyright: Umage
The Forget Me Not lamp is inspired by the beauty of a meadow flower,” say designers Magnus Nero and Ingemar Jönsson, describing the pendant luminaire they developed for Danish brand Umage. “The harmonious design of the gently curving petals embraces the power of nature to enhance indoor spaces.”
Made of oak veneer, the Forget Me Not lamp is inspired by the flower of the same name. Its organic form brings warmth and vitality to the room, introducing Nordic hues, inspired by nature. The petals of the pendant design appear delicate and graceful – like a compact work of art.
Feather Palm table and floor lamps – Kare Design
Want to bring a holiday feeling into your home? The sculptural Feather Palm lamp from Kare Design is reminiscent of a palm tree. Copyright: Kare Design
The Feather Palm LED table lamp is designed for romantics and dreamers. Made of real ostrich feathers, the lampshade gently flutters around the bulb, the light from which playfully refracts off the feathers. The extravagant lamp is available in two versions – a table lamp and a floor lamp.
