Pegauros – The Wellness Sculpture

In Pegauros, an artistic interpretation merges with a uniquely shaped lying surface: The shoulders come back, the chest expands towards the sky, the center opens. This embodiment is a refreshing balance to the forward, closed posture that often occurs when using digital devices.

The sculpture of the winged white bull refers to a well-known archaic myth about the fertility of cultural exchange: Zeus falls in love with the West Asian princess Europe. To win her over, he turns into a white bull. As a white bull, he carries Europe across the sea to Crete, where their son Minos is born.

The fabric of the padded lying surface is pure linen and is hand-dyed and woven on a Mediterranean island using ancient methods.
