Alusion™ stabilised aluminium foam combines the cool beauty of metal with a surface reminiscent of moving water. Alusion™ is available in three different cell sizes, with each sheet having its own unique texture.

Alusion™ architectural stabilised aluminium foam is manufactured by injecting air into molten aluminium containing a fine dispersion of ceramic particles. These particles stabilise the bubbles formed by the air. The effect this produces is familiar, for example, from the effect of dry cocoa powder being added to milk.

In the small and mid cell versions, the surface structure resembles that of the moon, reminiscent of a frozen, porous lava flow. The large cell model is similar to an aluminium sponge, with its low density making it incredibly lightweight.

This one-of-a-kind, non-combustible material is light but robust. Architects use it to create unusual walls, ceilings and facades. The translucent effect results from the combination of cells open on both sides and light sources (either daylight or LED lighting from behind).
